ACCOUNT DELETION

Account Deletion

Effective July 25, 2026

Delete in the app

  1. Open Prayer Altar and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open the Account center.
  3. Select Delete Account and Cloud Data.
  4. Review the warning and confirm permanent deletion.

For security, a recent authenticated session is required. If Prayer Altar asks you to sign in again, complete sign-in and repeat the deletion request.

What deletion removes

The deletion process removes your authentication account, private synchronized records, Prayer Altar and Vision Board media in private Storage, active sessions and tokens, local account store, pending synchronization work, and Widget data. A replacement snapshot is sent to a paired Watch and takes effect when that Watch reconnects; Prayer Altar cannot remotely wipe a disconnected Watch immediately. The process is resumable: if connectivity is interrupted, Prayer Altar records the pending operation and retries it on a later active session.

What may remain

Prayer Altar retains a pseudonymous deletion audit containing a one-way HMAC value, deletion status, timestamps, and a bounded error code. It does not contain your raw account identifier, email, prayer content, or media. Limited copies may also remain temporarily in service-provider backups until those backups are overwritten.

Local-device-only exports or other copies that you saved, shared, or moved outside Prayer Altar are not controlled by the app and must be deleted by you.

If you cannot access the app

Email privacy@prayeraltar.co from the address associated with the account. Do not include prayer content, passwords, or authentication tokens. We will verify account ownership before taking action.
